The checks were delivered to the postal service today and should begin arriving in mailboxes in the next few days. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this time.

Snohomish County recently upgraded its software that processes checks for payments.. Unfortunately, the program had some issues during the upgrade process which caused a delay in processing the premium checks for fair exhibitors. Staff are working diligently to get the data uploaded to the system so the checks can be issued, but with multiple problems with the software upgrade, many issues had to be fixed first. Our latest update is that exhibitors are getting entered into the system this week and they hope to have an update for us soon. Once we know more, we will continue to update our exhibitors and superintendents.

This issue was unexpected. We strive to pay out promptly each year after fair and we are very sorry for the inconvenience. We value our exhibitors and we are similarly frustrated with the delay, as we know these checks mean a lot to many hardworking families. We appreciate your patience as we resolve this situation.

What does it mean to exhibit at the fair?

Every year of kids and adults bring their best of the best and put it on display for judges and Fairgoers to see. Animals that were raised all year are groomed and ready to shine, chili recipes are refined in hopes of getting top scores at the chili contest and strategy is made on how to eat pie the fastest for the pie eating contest. We invite you to come join us for the fun as a contestant or as a cheerleader, there is something for everyone.
