Maps and Accessibility Information
The Evergreen State Fair Park is for everyone and we are committed to providing accessible facilities as well as making improvements to help everyone enjoy this special place. While the grounds include many older buildings that do not fully meet current ADA requirements, easily accessible facilities are available throughout the grounds and here is some information to help you enjoy your stay:
Parking:
Administration Building - accessible parking is provided by the administration building, #405 (when fair is not underway) and is on an accessible route. Spaces have marked access aisles.
Red Lot – The red lot is closest to the main fairground entrance and provides convenient access to the carnival area, grandstands, arena and vendors. This lot provides a large number of designated ADA parking spaces and while stalls are wide and cars can be flexible in placement, access aisles are not marked. An area of parking is located on paved surfacing but a portion is located on grass/gravel.
White Lot – The white lot is closest to the equestrian area. Designated ADA parking in this area is located on gravel surfacing so visitors should be prepared to navigate compacted gravel. Spaces do not include access aisles.
Yellow Lot - The yellow lot is closest to the east side of the grounds and is convenient access to the non-equestrian barns, kiddie carnival, display buildings and 604 building. Designated ADA parking includes marked access aisles and parking is on a paved surface. We recommend this lot as most accessible.
Blue Lot – The blue lot is closest to the east side of the grounds and provides convenient access to the non-equestrian barns, kiddie carnival, display buildings and 604 building. Designated ADA parking is located on gravel surfacing and access aisles are not provided.
Restrooms:
Equestrian Area – Restrooms are available by buildings 109 and 103 and located within the Arena building (building 100). The restrooms centrally located by building 103 have been renovated and fully meet ADA requirements. We recommend this facility as most accessible.
Grandstands Area – Restrooms are available in the grandstands and also south of the grandstands in building 301, north of the speedway office. The grandstands restrooms do not have barriers to access, but be aware that the urinal units are higher than typical ADA units, the ADA restroom stalls are a little smaller than standard and the sinks would be difficult to operate for someone in a wheelchair. Restrooms in building 301 are easily accessed and easier to navigate. We recommend this facility as most accessible
Eastern Grounds – Restrooms are available by the blue gate, in buildings 401, 510, 604 and the Western Heritage museum #611. The restrooms located in building 604 have the best accessibility and gender-neutral individual user rooms are also available. Building 510 also has good accessibility but be aware that the urinal units are higher than standard ADA units. The restroom in the Western Heritage Museum #611 includes an adult changing table.
Facilities:
The Arena #100– The best access into the building is from the north side. Access is available from the south side, but the doors are heavy and could be difficult to maneuver. Within the building, ADA seating is available on the western side of the building and is ramped for better viewing.
Grandstands #200 – An ADA ramp is located on the southern side of the building and leads to designated seating and access down to ground level. This same ramp can be used to access the restrooms under the grandstands (see note above)
Barns #600 - #651 – Access into the equestrian and other barns is generally available by an accessible at grade route. Please note that the Pavilion has steep access ramps on the west and south sides and the eastern entrance has a lip that may be a barrier for some. There is a northern entry that is the most accessible.
