District 3 - David Heia David's first entry at The Evergreen State was a batch of Norwegian Bon Bons in the Open Class Baking Department in 1988. And he was hooked! He regularly enters in the Food Preservation, Crafts & Hobbies, and General Agriculture Open Class Departments. He has been the Open Class Fine Arts Superintendent since 2016. During the winter months, he helps with the Evergreen Fair Foundation Winter Barrel Racing Series. David is also a professional food judge for multiple county and regional Fairs. He maintains small orchards in both Snohomish County and the Methow Valley, growing pears, plums, cherries, apricots, and of course, apples! Prior to his retirement, he worked in the financial planning industry for nearly 30 years. Past volunteer work included work at a conference center in the foothills of Mount Rainier and as a conductor on a tourist train. David serves on the Fair Advisory Board because he wants to help make Snohomish County the best in Washington State. | |||
